Dr. Mridula Aswin, Project Assistant.
Dr. Mridula Aswin, a Sanskrit researcher and Carnatic musician, holds a Doctorate in Sanskrit from the University of Hyderabad, for her comprehensive study of Abhāva across Darśanas and its application in Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa. Prior to that, she specialised in Sanskrit Vyākaraṇa in her Masters, from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. and graduated from Osmania University College for Women, Hyderabad, in English Literature.
She has participated in national and international conferences and presented her research papers, in addition to publishing in well-known journals. Armed with a certificate from National Manuscripts Mission in palaeography (especially Śāradā and Grantha scripts), her research interests lie in Editing and Publishing of Manuscripts, Application of Vyākaraṇa in Modern Linguistics, and Ṣaḍ-darśanas.
She actively participates in vākyārtha sadas, some of which are given below –
- Mahila Vakyartha Sadas at Udupi – International Conference organised by Bharatiya Vidvat Parishat & Tattwa Samshodhana Samsat Udupi (in association with ICPR New Delhi & Indic Academy Hyderabad).

In Carnatic Music, Mridula is fortunate to have come under the tutelage of Gurus of renown- Kalaimamani (Late) Maharajapuram Sri Nagarajan, Sangita Mahamahopadhyaya (Late) Brahmasri Kollegal Subrahmanyam, and Kalaimamani Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan. She has a B-High grade from AIR & DD, and is the recipient of many awards –
- Promising Young Talent Award-2013 from Sri Kartikeya Gana Sabha Hyd;
- Kalasagaram Tambura Prize (2013)
- Pandit Jasraj Award from Rotary Club of Hyderabad (2014)
- Guruparampara Tambura Prize for Best Ragam-Tanam-Pallavi (2014)
